CNA DAY CLASSES
Our CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) Day Program is a 3-week program.
Classes are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
The course cost is $1050
CNA - EVENINGS
The Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation - Evening Program classes is a 5-week program.
Classes are held Monday through Friday from 5 PM to 9 PM.
The course cost is $1150
CNA - WEEKENDS
HCTI's CNA Weekend Program is offered over 5 weekends.
Classes are on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The course cost is $1250
ONLINE CNA CLASS
This Self-Paced CNA Program is a hybrid class that combines online learning (didactic) with in-person clinical skills practice.
Students can start the online class any day, and in-person clinicals are required—refer to the Clinical Schedule below for available clinical dates.
The course cost is $1150
The Evening Phlebotomy Program is a 5-week course.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 5 PM to 9 PM, followed by a 2-week Clinical Externship.
The course cost is $1150
Our Evening EKG Tech Program is an 8-week course.
Classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5 PM to 9 PM.
The course cost is $2100
We offer a range of Life Safety Courses, including CPR, BLS, First Aid, CPR Skills Check-offs, Bloodborne Pathogens, and STOP the Bleed, all taught by “The CPR Expert of Louisville.”
Our Mission
An SRNA assists with care for patients’ day-to-day needs or activities of daily living. Job expectations may differ depending on the facility, but general responsibilities can include:
* Turning or repositioning patients
* Taking patients’ vital signs including blood pressure and temperature
* Dental/denture are
* Answering patient call lights
* Hair and nail care; hygiene and grooming
* Documenting patients’ health issues and report to nurses
* Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake
* Cleaning rooms and bed linens
* Emptying bedpans, colostomy bags and urinals; measuring output
* Post-mortem care
* Must be 17 years old
* Must have high school diploma, GED OR the ability to read comprehend at a 7th grade level for reading and math (an assessment will be given without proof of high school diploma or GED).
* Applicants must pass a background check (pursuant to KRS 216.789 No persons with a felony conviction related to theft; abuse or sale of illegal drugs; abuse, neglect, or exploitation of an adult; or a sexual crime. will be allowed to enroll in this NATCEP course.)
* You are prohibited from taking this course if your name (verified by social security number) is listed on the Nurse Aide Abuse Registry or the Kentucky Adult Caregiver Misconduct Registry.
* Must also pass a TB assessment and a 2-step TB skin or blood test.
* Students must have the ability to perform the duties of a nurse aide (bending, twisting, standing, lifting, etc.).
CLASSROOM FORMAT:
The classroom day option is a 3-week, 75-hour course. It consists of 59 hours (2 weeks) of classroom curriculum training with hand-on skills practice in our simulation lab. During the 3rd week, students will complete a 2-day (16 hour) clinical rotation at a local clinical site.
The classroom evening option is a 5-week program.
ONLNE/HYBRID FORMAT:
The Hybrid/Online CNA Option is a self-paced course that allows you up to 12 months to complete. A 4-day Clinical externship is required when the Online portion is complete.

* Textbook Rentals - $25 (available as supplies last; must be returned prior to being scheduled for the SRNA state exam)
* Professional Liability insurance REQUIRED; not included)
* 2-Step PPD/TB Skin test - negative result - from within the past 12 months or less (student must present proof); cost varies depending on provider
* Purchase of a stethoscope and a manual blood pressure cuff is also recommended for at-home practice but not required.
* For students who plan to take the State Exam upon completion of the course, the total cost is $115 and IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE COURSE COST. The test is scheduled through the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS) and is administered at one of the KCTCS campuses.
Unless payment plan arrangements are made with our office, payment in full is required at least 10 days before you may course start date. Check the Tuition Payment Portal for further information on payment plan options.

We offer the option for students to make payments toward the total cost for Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (SRNA/CNA), Phlebotomy and EKG Technician courses (classroom format only). If this option is beneficial to you, please ask us about it or signup during Enrollment. To sign up for a Payment Plan, select the "Payment Arrangement" option. This is how it works:
$150 Deposit/Enrollment Fee is due with Application and is Non-Refundable. This initial payment allows for completion of background checks, release of course materials and access to online resources (username and password are assigned) to the student. Failure to pay the payment plan as required could result in forfeiture of all payments made!
