The program runs for a total of 5 weeks, consisting of classroom instruction and a clinical externship.
The program includes 126 total hours:
- 36 classroom hours
- 80 clinical externship hours
Classes are held Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a total of 3 weeks.
Students will complete 80 hours of practical clinical experience at one of our partner healthcare or medical facilities.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Show proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Pay the registration fee and arrange tuition payment
- Submit a signed admissions application and enrollment agreement
- Provide proof of U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Have adequate manual dexterity and physical ability (vision, hearing, stamina, etc.)
- Successfully pass a national background check
- Complete the American Heart Association BLS certification before clinical placement
- Show proof of current health insurance
- Provide proof of all immunizations, including COVID-19 and Hepatitis B, or submit a completed HCTI Waiver Form
